Council drinking water supplies under private management

Council owns the following water supplies, but they are managed by the network users:

  • Kauru Hill, Tokarahi, Awamoko and Windsor (these are managed by Corriedale Water Management Ltd)
  • Council-owned camp grounds (these are managed by locally-based contractors on behalf of Council’s Recreation Unit)

Boil water notices

Although Council doesn’t operate these supplies, we do regularly monitor them on behalf of the community for any contamination, and we advise the operators immediately if a boil water notice is required. If a boil water notice is required, these are issued by the supply operators, not by Council.

If a boil water notice is issued on your supply, please ensure you boil all water required for drinking, preparing food and brushing teeth.
