Survival skills programme

The Waitaki Aquatic Centre survival skills programme is a 4-6 days programme designed for schools and community groups. It helps participants to develop important water survival skills. The knowledge and experience provided by the programme gives life-long skills. Our programmes include:

  • Life jacket use
  • Rescues
  • Use of improvised flotation aids
  • Swimming skills
  • Boat safety.

This programme can be adapted for pre-schoolers, elderly and anyone else interested in survival skills. All participants receive a certificate at the completion of the programme. We are able to tailor the existing survival skills programme to your needs.
