A Conserve Water Notice has been issued for the Awamoko Supply, due to work on one of the main lines from the pump station to scheme reservoirs. The water supply is expected to be back to normal by the 18th of September.

Geoparks are vehicles which foster sustainable regional development. They are powered by geotourism. The focus of geotourism is sharing the environment’s ABC elements in a holistic form of tourism through its Abiotic (landforms & climate), Biotic (plants & animals) and Cultural (indigenous and modern) characteristics. This presentation explores the contribution which geotourism makes to geoparks.
A presentation by Prof. Ross Dowling AM Ross is a New Zealand trained geologist and environmental scientist who has worked globally in the fields of ecotourism and geotourism. An academic for the past 30 years he is Emeritus Professor of Tourism at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. Ross is a global contributor to geotourism and geoparks and is the Chair of the Australian Geoparks Network.
