Ōamaru’s Friendly Bay Family Fun Day 2026

Come and enjoy a day of classic free family fun with a focus on whanau wellbeing. A range of fun activities will be on offer on the sand, in the water and at our family fun zones, including kayaking, beach dig, bouncy castles, Noddy train rides, sand saucer art, a "give it a go" volleyball tournament plus more!
In the whanau wellbeing zone there will be free health checks, emergency preparedness information, road safety and sustainability education, community project funding information and a Mums and Bubs tent for those with little ones to feed.
Enjoy the food stalls and local eateries or bring a picnic and relax together in the family picnic zone.
