Established in December 2014, the Community Nursery occupies the old Oamaru Public Gardens propagation facilities next to the Curator’s house. It comprises a shade house, two glasshouses, hardening off space and a potting shed.
The main purpose of the nursery is a community-owned space for members of the public to propagate plants, meet new people, and learn about the positive environmental projects that are being carried out in the district.
