Tautoko Tāne, Male Survivors Otago

Tautoko Tāne supports men who have experienced sexual abuse, whether the abuse occurred in childhood or adulthood. Support is survivor‑led, confidential, and focused on safety, choice, and empowerment.

Support available includes:

  • One‑to‑one peer support with trained male support workers
  • Facilitated peer support groups
  • Advocacy and practical support navigating reporting, justice, health, and social services
  • Support for men involved with the prison and probation system
  • Safe, non‑judgemental spaces to talk, share experiences, and reduce isolation.

All services are free. Peer support is not counselling or therapy, but complements clinical services where relevant.
