Otago Community Hospice

All hospice services are provided free of charge and are available to people living in North Otago as part of the wider Otago service area.

Services available include:

• Specialist palliative care delivered in the community, including in people’s homes and care facilities
• Symptom management and clinical support
• Emotional, social, and spiritual support for patients and whānau
• Advice, education, and support for carers
• Coordination of care alongside local health services, including Ōamaru Hospital.

Care is provided primarily in the community. Inpatient hospice care may be arranged when needs are complex.
