Waitaki District Council will hold a Performance, Audit and Risk (PAR) Committee, Full Council and an Extraordinary Council Meeting next week – delighting enthusiasts of agendas, minutes, reports and local Government.
Monday’s Perfomance, Audit and Risk Committee will consider the current financial position of Council, receive a Health and Safety update for the organisation, as well as the quarterly Oamaru Airport update.
The meeting begins at 09:00 on Monday, is open to the public, and will be livestreamed.
Tuesday’s meeting of Full Council will receive the Mayors report, an interim update from the Chief Executive, and discuss the adoption of a Commercial Strategy, a new Risk Appetite framework, and consider recommendations from the Assets and Infrastructure Committee.
The meeting begins at 09:00 on Tuesday, is open to the public, and will be livestreamed.
Friday’s extraordinary meeting of Council will be held to consider the Head Start proposal, ahead of the Government deadline of midnight on Sunday 9 August. This follows Council’s resolution to seek a Head Start proposal with Waimate, Mackenzie and Timaru (and potentially Ashburton) made earlier this month.
Since the decision, Waimate District Council, Mackenzie District Council and Timaru District Council have agreed to join a joint 5 Council Head Start proposal, while Ashburton District Council will make a decision at a meeting on Wednesday 5 August.
Waitaki's meeting begins at 14:00 on Friday, is open to the public, and will be livestreamed.
The agenda for the PAR and Full Council are available online now. The Extraordinary Meeting agenda will be available next week.
