The Grants and Awards Sub-Committee met on Tuesday 21 April to assess the applications received for the Community Group Grants and Creative Communities Scheme.

Community Group Grants

While $39,579 was available for distribution from the Community Group Grants, applications totalling $77,457 were received.

This fund plays a vital role in supporting the not-for-profit community groups that strengthen the wellbeing, connection and resilience of our community.

Creative Communities Scheme – 21 April 2026

The Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) is a relationship between Creative New Zealand and local councils that fund local arts projects and helps New Zealanders engage with creativity in their own communities. The scheme is funded by Creative New Zealand and administered by Waitaki District Council.
