From Wednesday 25 March, Waitaki District Council’s HQ, Oamaru Library and Service Centre, the Waihemo Service Centre, and Council’s phone services will open at 09:30.
From Thursday 26 March, Waitaki District Council’s HQ and Waihemo Service Centre will close at 17:00. The Oamaru Library and Service Centre will close at 17:30.
This shift in times is to allow the Customer Liaison Officer team to meet on Wednesday mornings, instead of Thursday afternoons.
Customer Services Manager Ash Campbell said: “Afternoons are a busy time across our service desks, and closing at 4pm on a Thursday for our team meeting was proving inconvenient for customers.
By moving the meeting to the start of Wednesday, we’re ensuring our team can be kept up to date on what they need to know, and that our community still benefits from the extended in-person services Council offers.”
Council also offers many services and forms online, and will soon be launching MyWaitaki, which will allow the community to manage their rates, consents, and make enquiries to Council 24/7 online.
This is part of Council responding to community needs, and delivering more services on-demand online. This means both in-person and digital services will be more accessible.
