A Conserve Water Notice has been issued for the Awamoko Supply, due to work on one of the main lines from the pump station to scheme reservoirs. The water supply is expected to be back to normal by the 18th of September.
17 September 2025 7.00pm-12am. During the scheduled update period, there will be a short time of some service unavailability before all services return to normal.

The Waitaki Aquatic Centre is attracting enthusiastic learner swimmers from as far afield as Mackenzie, Central Otago, Dunedin and even Auckland.
Waitaki District Council offers 10 swimming lessons over 5 days, meaning nearly a whole term of swimming lessons happens in just one week of the school holidays.
Kerry Holland, Programme Lead for the swim school, says: “We’re not the only pool to offer an intensive swim school during the holiday, but we’ve had another fantastic response both locally, and from further afield, to this year’s programme”.
While classes were booked for the remainder of this school holidays, block lessons will be on offer for the September/October two week holiday – with classes available for booking on Monday 1 September 2025 at 9am.
