Programmes and support available 

  • Home Repair Programme
    An affordable, interest‑free home repair programme for owner‑occupiers who need help with essential repairs or maintenance. Repairs are prioritised to improve safety, warmth, and habitability.

    • Eligibility is assessed based on income, home ownership, and need
    • Repairs are completed by qualified tradespeople
    • Costs are repaid over time, with no interest, for up to five years. 
  • Healthy Homes Programme
    Health‑focused housing interventions aimed at reducing the impacts of cold, damp homes on wellbeing. Delivered in partnership with health and community agencies. Support may include:

    • Home assessments
    • Minor repairs and home improvements
    • Curtain installation
    • Winter warmer packs distributed through community partners. 
  • Programmes are not self‑serve or walk‑in
  • Access is usually through referral from health providers, iwi, community organisations, or partner agencies.
