Public Notice – Proposed Reserve Reclassification (WEB)

Pursuant to section 24(2)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977, Waitaki District Council, as administering body for the recreation reserve located at 10 Ranfurly Street, Kurow, hereby gives public notice of its intention to reclassify the reserve as a Historic Reserve.
The proposal is based on an assessment that the primary present and future values of the site are cultural and heritage, including the presence of the former Kurow School building, which the South Star Trust proposes to restore for community and arts use.
