Public notice of application for On-Licence

Section 101, Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Galley (Oamaru) Limited has made application to the District Licensing Committee, Waitaki District Council for the renewal of an On Licence in 

respect of premises situated at 1 Esplanade Road, South Hill, Oamaru 9400, known as “The Galley Cafe.”

The general nature of the business conducted under the licence is that of a Restaurant.

The days on which and the hours during which alcohol is intended to be sold under the licence are:

Monday to Sunday – 9.00am to 12.00 midnight.


This application will be published online on the following dates: Friday 17 July 2026.

Applications & objections

The application may be inspected during ordinary office hours at the office of the Waitaki District Council at 20 Thames Street, Oamaru.

Any person who is entitled to object and who wishes to object to the issue of the licence may, file a notice in writing of their objection. The objection notice must be filed no later than 25 working days after this notice has first been published either online or in the newspaper.
