There will be a planned water shutdown to the Homestead Road area on Tuesday 27 October. Customers should have three days supply on-hand, and the shutdown is only planned for that day. More info and a map of properties in the area available below.

Two schools provided with sponsored water safety lessons
Two Oamaru schools are having a splashing good time learning about water safety this term, thanks to sponsorship from the Network Waitaki Events Centre contractor Apollo Projects Ltd.
Last week Pembroke School students learned about boat safety at the Waitaki Aquatic Centre, including how to fit life-jackets and how to safely enter the water from a dinghy.
Waitaki District Mayor Gary Kircher says: "With spring arriving, it's not too long until summer days at the beach or on the Waitaki Valley lakes. Water safety is so important, and I'd like to thank Apollo Projects for supporting our young people with the practical skills that they may need out on the water."
“We’re proud to support these vital water safety lessons for local schools,” says Paul Lloyd, Director at Apollo Projects. “It’s fantastic to see students gaining confidence and learning practical skills that could one day save lives. Supporting initiatives like this is part of our commitment to the communities we work in.”
Apollo has funded over 6,000 lessons across 10+ centres nationwide since the initiative’s inception in 2022.
