GrantGuru Waitaki celebrates successful first year

Free online platform connects community with funding opportunities.

Waitaki District Council is celebrating the first anniversary of Waitaki Grant Finder - GrantGuru, the free online funding search platform connecting community groups, businesses, schools and charities with grant opportunities.

Over the past 12 months, the platform has grown to 262 registered users, with 235 people receiving personalised grant alerts and more than 1,700 funding alerts generated, helping connect Waitaki organisations with thousands of potential funding opportunities.

Leanne Kingan, Grants & Funding Officer, says GrantGuru has made it easier for local organisations to discover funding they may otherwise miss.

"GrantGuru has become a valuable tool for our community, helping organisations find the right funding opportunities and stay informed about new grants as they become available."

"While individual funding outcomes are not tracked or reported for privacy reasons, we know that a number of local organisations have successfully secured funding after using GrantGuru, demonstrating the platform's value to the community."

Community groups, sports clubs, schools, businesses, charities and volunteer organisations are encouraged to register and take advantage of the free service.
