There will be a planned water shutdown to the Homestead Road area on Tuesday 27 October. Customers should have three days supply on-hand, and the shutdown is only planned for that day. More info and a map of properties in the area available below.

What a response to our East of Eden: Through your Eyes Community Photo Competition with around 70 entries.
The judging panel had the very tough job of working through some amazing photographs and stories capturing East of Eden filming in Ōamaru – from transformed streets and behind-the-scenes action to cast, crew and those unexpected moments that made it such a memorable time for our town.
Our Top 10 photographs came from seven photographers; Andy Yeoman, Eddie Robinson, Kelly Jones, Gill Loveridge, Margaret Munro, Ron Harris and Tom Davies. Their photos are available now at https://www.eastofeden.co.nz
Each winner received a prize pack and a double-pass to last night’s community screening of Episode 6 of East of Eden.
A huge thank you and well done to everyone who entered. There were so many wonderful moments captured, and we loved seeing East of Eden through your eyes.
A special thank you to our judges; Martin Horspool, Shelley Winsor, Dan Lewis and Hamish Saxton.
The final collection of 50 photos will be placed on exhibition in Ōamaru’s Heritage Precinct later in November.
East of Eden: Through Our Eyes is a partnership between Ōamaru Whitestone Civic Trust, Waitaki District Council and Tourism Waitaki
