Temporary Fluoridation pause on Oamaru Supply

Waitaki District Council is temporarily pausing the fluoridation of the Oamaru Water Supply to recalibrate dosing equipment and analyser to ensure water is fluoridated at around 0.8mg/l.

Fixing the roof when the sun shines: Council HQ to be re-roofed

Breen Construction will begin re-roofing the Council Headquarters on Thames Street from Monday 7 October.
The work, budgeted at $1 million, involves replacing the existing decades-old roofing with new coloursteel and butynol, renewing the guttering on the property and forming new stormwater overflows within the main roof gutters.

Every year school students from around the Waitaki share their artistic talents with us. The Forrester Gallery asks all the schools and early childhood education centres in the Waitaki District to contribute student artwork to the George Burns Memorial Art Exhibition. It is a showcase for the community and a celebration of children’s art.
