This week, tickets went on sale for a special holiday activity at the Waitaki Aquatic Centre.
On Saturday July 5 and Sunday July 6, the main pool of the Aquatic Centre will host Aqualand NZ’s indoor inflatable water park between 10am and 4pm.
Aqualand NZ are known for their large inflatable water park courses that set up around the country in the summer, and Waitaki Aquatic Centre is pleased to host them during chillier times.
Waitaki District's Sports and Leisure Manager Matthew Lanyon says: “We’re really excited to bring something a bit different to the Aquatic Centre this school holiday by partnering with Aqualand NZ. Our own inflatables are very popular, and we’re stepping it up another level with the fun challenge of the Aquapark.
While it’s just under a month way, we’d encourage everyone to get their tickets now by going to https://www.aqualand.co.nz and clicking Book Now.”
Aqualand is open to children who are at least 6 years old are able to swim. All children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Lifejackets are provided as part of the entry fee.
For more details, please refer to the Aqualand NZ website.
Waitaki Aquatic Centre’s childrens pool and spa will remain open while the main pool hosts Aqualand, with usual entry fees applicable to pool users. However, the main pool will not be available on Saturday July 5 or Sunday July 6.
