Our other services in the Building
Team are operating as near normal as possible. The building team request that
anyone wishing to speak with an Officer do so by making a telephone appointment
in the first instance.
If you are planning to build or renovate your home or business premises, almost everything you build needs to meet a number of standards and regulations like the Building Act 2004.
Council's Building Control Services have been accredited by the Ministry of Business Innovation & Employment (MBIE) and International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) to ensure that certain minimum standards for health and safety of the building users are met in all building construction works.
