Ōmārama Community Library

Building viewed from the outside, made of Oamaru stone, and front doors leading into the Omarama community library.

Ōmārama Community Library is a compact yet perfectly formed, light filled, vibrant library.  It is run by an awesome team of local volunteers.   The library is filled with adult fiction and non-fiction, children and youth collections, some adult large print and audio books, council information and more.  If you can’t find the book or item you want just ask to see if we have the item in another local library and we can send it to Ōmarama for you to borrow.  You can also return it to Ōmārama Library when finished.  If you don’t have a library card yet come along to join up and gain access to all the services available to all members of Waitaki District Libraries.  Do call in during library opening hours to find out more. Please refer to our map below.

Many thanks to the wonderful library volunteers – your support for this great community resource is amazing.
