Kurow Community and School Library

Kurow Community Library is a bright and friendly space combining the school library on one side and the community library on the other.  It is run by a fabulous school librarian together with a dedicated team of local volunteers.   The library offers adult fiction and non-fiction, children and youth collections, some adult large print and audio books, a local history collection, council information and more.  Do call in during library opening hours to find out more.  There is free internet and also free use of the library edition of Ancestry.  If you can’t find the book or item you want just ask to see if we have the item in another local library and we can send it to Kurow for you to borrow.  You can also return it to Kurow Library when finished.  If you don’t have a library card yet come along to join up and gain access to all the services available to all members of Waitaki District Libraries.

Shelves with books and a small, round yellow table with display books.

The library is part of Waitaki Valley School. It is on the right-hand side of the main school building. There is parking out the front. Please refer to the map below.

Many thanks to the school librarian and the wonderful library volunteers – we really appreciate your support in running Kurow Community Library so well.
