MONDAY JANUARY 13 10.30AM – NOON ŌAMARU LIBRARY, 62 THAMES STREET Put on your maddest hat and join Ōamaru’s cloth doll artist Sharon Mitchell for a very special reading from Lewis Carroll’s wonderful book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. As an extra special treat, you’ll meet some of Sharon’s Alice in Wonderland characters, which are on exhibition at the Forrester Gallery – Alice in Victorian Wonderland, until January 26.
Sharon Mitchell is a cloth doll artist, pattern designer and tutor based in Ōamaru. She draws inspiration from music, stories, productions, facial expressions and colour. Sharon evokes delight within her creations and has an appreciation for the ways fabric can be manipulated to ignite connections for viewers.
