The Ōamaru Library will be closed from end of business Friday 12 May, reopening on Monday 29 May to upgrade the library heating system in time for winter. All borrowed library items will be automatically extended on the evening of the 12th of May to a due date of June 2nd.
We're getting ready to reopen on Monday, the 29th of May at 9.30am. The heating is now in and we're moving things back in. See you on Monday!

The Library's free te reo classes have finished and will resume again in Term 4.
- for absolute beginners
- for people who have had a small amount of prior learning (e.g., attending Te Kākano sessions in 2022 or any other past te reo class or online study).
Please contact Lisa Potaka Ross at Ōamaru Library for any information regarding these classes, or, if you don't want to wait until Term 4 to learn te reo, she will be able to provide you with a contact for community te reo classes.
Kia kaha te reo Māori!
