If you didn't make it on the night, here's a quick recap: DOC’s Clement Lagrue shared his knowledge of the rich biodiversity that calls limestone its home. These are threatened plants and creatures that are only found within our local limestone ecosystems.
On the second evening, Rob Carson-Iles, also with DOC, shared details about, and his personal experiences with, the tarapirohe (black-fronted tern) that nest on the Waitaki River.
Both speakers were a wealth of fascinating, and sometimes startling, information about our precious taonga, and the efforts being made to halt their decline in the face of a myriad of threats.
