Membership Information

It's free to join Waitaki District Libraries

We have a range of free memberships for Waitaki residents and ratepayers.  We also provide free membership for Waimate and Dunedin residents.  If you are a visitor to the Waitaki district for up to six months, you are eligible for a holiday borrower membership.

Conditions of Membership

As a library member or as a guarantor, I agree to:

  • Be responsible for items borrowed with my card. This includes any items borrowed by other people using the card.
  • Notify a change of address
  • Pay upon demand any damaged or replacement charges incurred
  • Accept that I am unable to borrow if I don’t return items within 21 days of their due date and/or have unpaid debts totaling $20 or more
  • Notify Waitaki District Libraries immediately if my card is lost or stolen
  • Comply with Waitaki District Libraries Copyright Policy
  • Allow my personal information to be used in accordance with Waitaki District Libraries Privacy Statement

These conditions may change. You are deemed to have had notice of such changes and agreed to be bound by the amended conditions whilst you are a member.

Completion of the application form below implies acceptance of our conditions.
