New caravan dump station for Palmerston

21/09/2018 8:00 a.m.

The need for a dump station has been raised by the community since the last one closed. A dump station was included in the Council’s ‘toilet plan’ which was consulted on as part of Council’s 2018-2028 Long Term Plan.

We applied to Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s (MBIE) Tourism Infrastructure Funding (TIF) for funding support for a new motorhome dump station in Palmerston and our application for $58,000 of funding was successful.

To make sure we make the best possible decision, a number of sites were considered.  Please see the information sheets below for more information.
