Anzac Day will be commemorated in Waitaki with services held throughout the district and a parade down Thames Street, Oamaru. Mayor Gary Kircher said that after a nationwide lockdown meant cancellations in 2020 it was really good to see this happening again. "Fingers crossed there will be no level changes, but one way or another we'll commemorate and acknowledge the sacrifices made by our service personnel today and throughout history."
