Background information

Council is seeking funding from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s (MBIE) third round of Tourism Infrastructure Funding (TIF) for a new toilet block at Centennary Park, Moeraki as the present one has reached the end of its service life.

Officers have assessed options for the location of a replacement toilet block.

A three pan unisex toilet block (one being accessible) is considered the best option for this location.

Style

We think a system based upon the triple cubicle Exeloo toilet similar to the picture below would be ideal (Similar to the new one in Otematata). This has a reinforced concrete base, manual operation with tough sheet linings and aluminum swing doors. It is also aesthetically pleasing to look at and can be finished off in colors to suit the local environment.
