Renewing your licence

Once you turn 75 there are a few changes to the process for renewing your driver licence:

  • your new licence will be valid for only two to five years
  • you need to p resent a medical certificate each time you apply
  • if recommended by your doctor, you will have to sit a 30-minute On-road Safety Test.

Courtesy Vehicle campaign

Bars in the district that offer a courtesy vehicle have these posters on display to promote their safe transport option. Several of these bars are in rural areas, where the use of courtesy vans is becoming more and more prevalent, following the lowering of the legal breath alcohol limit.
