Privately owned and operated drinking water supplies

Examples of privately owned and operated drinking water supplies in Waitaki include:

• Ohau lodge and skifield
• Any self-suppliers (i.e. private bore or roof water)

Council doesn't own or operate these supplies. We can sample and test private supplies, but only when the customer requests and pays for this service. If a boil water notice is required, these are issued by the supply operators, not by Council.

If a boil water notice is issued on your supply, please ensure you boil all water required for drinking, preparing food and brushing teeth.
