Join us at the Oamaru Public Gardens this year to ring in the new year with a great line-up of family-friendly entertainment including a kid's zone and food vendors. This will be an alcohol-free event - however, there will be a licensed garden bar area on site where patrons can purchase refreshments and drink them there.

Mayor for Waitaki, Gary Kircher said, “We are very pleased to host this event once again! Making plans for events continues to be difficult with Covid around, but we hope to celebrate the New Year in style, with awesome entertainment for the whole family! Fingers crossed we can welcome in 2022 together.”

MC's Mulletman & Mim (Internationally seasoned full time pro champions bringing you acrobatics, juggling and a whole lotta cheek!) will kick-off the evening from 6pm. Joining the line-up is live music from:

7pm: Dee May and the Saints (sizzling blend of retro Rock ‘n Roll, Blues, Rockabilly, Swing and all with a fistful of R&B that’s guaranteed to get people up and jivin’ on the dance floor)

8.45pm: Diamond Blue (Covers band that play great throwbacks from the 1960’s – now)

10.30pm – midnight: The Beat Skips (house music beats coupled with jazz and funk backbones on top of classic tunes from the 90's and 00's all played by a live band. You will dance!)

Subject to covid levels and traffic light system.

A big thank you to the Otago Community Trust for supporting this event.
