Our teams are brushing up on their LEGO® building skills and getting ready to take on the challenges of The Great Waitaki Brick Build-Off.

Thanks to support so far received from The Warehouse, Countdown, Mitre10 Mega Ōamaru, Repco and Rainbow, our winning teams will walk away with LEGO® sets, gift vouchers and more.

How does it work? We have six challenges: speed build, limited piece, creature feature, the big race off, sculpting NZ, and street front. Each team will be graded/points allocated per challenge, on some or all of the following: speed, technique, creativity, story, and aesthetics. Bonus points may be allocated at the judges’ discretion!

Come along and watch the fun! The Build-Off will be held in the former Blind Foundation Hall at 6 Steward Street (behind the Library), between 10am and 3.45pm. Public entry fee is just a gold coin, proceeds will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand as part of its Blue September fundraising campaign.
