AEIOU | Te Pū Taka Māori- The Māori Alphabet

Next date: Tuesday, 18 January 2022 | 08:00 PM to Monday, 07 February 2022 | 04:00 PM

Exhibition design work by artist Kereama Taepa Te Arawa Te Atiawa.jpg.jpg

This exhibition has been created specifically for children and families, with hands-on activities to explore the Māori alphabet. Fifteen letters of the Māori alphabet are interpreted through a playful mixture of treasured taoka Māori with Artworks from the Forrester Gallery and Te Whare Taoka o Waitaki, Waitaki Museum.

The exhibition was designed by Rotorua Museum and has been a touring exhibition in Aotearoa since 2017. We are using the exhibition concept and design work by artist Kereama Taepa (Te Arawa, Te Atiawa) alongside our collection.
