The Annual Plan is based on the Council's main strategic planning document, the Long Term Plan (LTP). It details the activities Council intends to carry out over the coming financial year, how much these activities will cost and how they will be funded.
The plans, which are required by law, are prepared in consultation with the public in the years between LTPs (which are produced every three years).
Annual Plan 2022-23: What’s the focus this year?
Soon you'll have the chance to have your say on Waitaki District Council’s proposed Annual Plan for 2022/2023.
The Council’s Annual Plan Engagement Document, outlines the main changes to our budget and work programme for 2022/2023, compared to what was approved in the Long Term Plan 2021-2031. The Annual Plan Engagement Document has been approved by council’s elected members and our public engagement will run from Wednesday 13 April 2022 through to Wednesday 4 May 2022.
Public feedback received during this time and input from local boards will help inform the final Annual Plan.
The Annual Plan 2022-23 Engagement Document, feedback form, and supporting information will be available from 13 April on the consultation page on this website, from Council offices or district libraries.
We will be holding hearings in May where you can speak to Elected Members about your feedback.
After decisions are made in June 2022, the final Annual Plan 2022-23 will be available on the Waitaki District Council website: www.waitaki.govt.nz
