Pursuant to Section 10 of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, all requests for information should be directed to:

Should any request for information be refused, reasons for that refusal will be given. Any person dissatisfied with the decision relative to the giving of information is entitled to have the decision reviewed by the Ombudsman.

There is a charge for official information requests. Staff time per half-hour or part thereof after first hour is $52.40 and other costs can be found in the Schedule of Fees and Charges

In some cases a charge maybe made for supplying information. This will apply particularily where considerable staff time is required to research the information.
