Roading Network Engineer

Waitaki District Council has a vacancy for a Roading Network Engineer based in its Oamaru office.

If you:

· Are qualified to NZ Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent

· Are passionate about road engineering and asset management

· Are intelligent, inquisitive, pro-active, and enthusiastic

· Enjoy working in a close knit team environment as well on your own

then this role may be for you. The Waitaki District encompasses over 1800 km of road network from the Pacific Ocean to the Southern Alps, and includes 700 km of sealed and 1100km of unsealed roads.

The duties of the Roading Network Engineer include:

· Management of maintenance, renewals, and upgrade projects

· Asset management

· Budget management

· Advice to Council, Community Boards, the public, and others

· Providing excellent and professional customer service

all over a wide range of environments.
