COMMUNITY GROUP GRANTS

Community Group Grants have been established by Waitaki District Council to assist not-for-profit organisations based in the Waitaki District with projects/programmes/services or activities that benefit the community.


Available Funding

  • Funding is for one-off costs associated with a project/programme/service or activity.
  • Ongoing funding will not be considered.
  • There are two funding rounds per annum (1 July - 30 June) with a total of $50,000 available to cover both funding rounds.
  • There is a limit of 1 application per organisation per year (1 July - 30 June).

 

Group Objectives

The objectives of Community Group Grants are:

  • To assist groups meet the needs of the community
  • To support projects/programmes/services or activities that demonstrate local initiative

Application Criteria

Groups applying for Community Group Grants must meet certain criteria.

Application Form

Community Group Grants open on February 15th 2010 and close on March 26th 2010.

Accountability Form

Reports are required from recipients of all Waitaki District Council Grants.

Organisations that do not complete and return this accountability form will not be eligible for further funding from the Waitaki District Council.

The accountability form for organisations must be returned within 6 months of having recieved the funding.
