WAITAKI DISTRICT HIGHWAY PATROL
Highway Patrol in the Waitaki District is covered by a sergeant and three constables. Two of these constable operate from Dunedin as our coverage area extends from the Waitaki River to Milton on State Highway 1, Palmerston to Kyeburn on State Highway 85, Pukeuri to Omarama on State Highway 83 and Lake Ruataniwha to the Lindis Pass on State Highway 8.
Our principal role is road safety and enforcement however as sworn police officers we will respond to all incidents that require police attention.
